Rebecca (Bec) first got in touch with me back in December to organise a family shoot for her, her husband Michael and their two beautiful daughters Grace, 2 and Ruby, 6 weeks. Bec is also a newbie photographer, and as like me is always the one behind the camera and hardly ever in front having her picture taken. She wanted some pictures with her in them for the girls to have when they're older.
The Royle Family live in a quirky new build house in Abbey Village, Chorley. Their home was the perfect location to take some photos of them. I always think people are most comfortable in their own home and that's where we started today's shoot, sat on the sofa reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Ruby, freshly woken from her morning nap sat cuddled up with her mum watching her big sister. Grace was definitely relaxed in front of the camera, running from room to room showing me all her toys, her tent and making mummy and daddy play silly games! My personal favourite was giving Spider Man his dinner in his pink dolls house, Pepper pig in attendance!!
We got wrapped and headed out to get a bit of fresh air. We wandered down a country lane round the back of the house next to a few fields. Not realsing quite how cold it was out, we took a few pictures in the lovely rural scenery and then dashed back in for a warm drink and chocolate cake!
